Soluble in ethanol, benzyl benzoate and most vegetable oils, mineral oil and propylene glycol often milky white, insoluble in glycerol.

Physical and Chemical PropertiesClear essential oil colorless or light yellow to yellow-brown. With such as rose and geraniol characteristic of the sweet aroma and mint breath, there is a bitter taste. Unstable to strong acids, geraniol esters and citronellol esters are partially saponified in alkaline. Soluble in ethanol, benzyl benzoate and most vegetable oils, mineral oil and propylene glycol often milky white, insoluble in glycerol.

The fresh branches and leaves of Geranium Geranium, a plant of yak seedling family, were cut, and the oil was extracted by steam distillation.

It is mainly used for the preparation of perfume, soap, Essence, toilet water, cosmetics and other daily chemical products.  It can also be used in food, tobacco and alcohol flavors.
