Production method: From Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia: introduced in Taiwan, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Fujian and other places of perennial grass herb vetiver root as raw materials, by pressurized series steam distillation, oil yield of about 4%. Wash and dry the vetiver roots with water, cut them into 2cm long segments, load them into a distillation pot at 60kg/m, and then distill them in series under pressure for 18h. The first pot of direct steam distillation, the pressure is 350~400kPa, the second pot of direct steam pressure is 300~350kPa. The distillation speed is 2.0~2.5L/(min·m) of distillate. The distilled liquid is cooled and then separated to obtain essential oil. A small amount of essential oil can be recovered from the distilled water by multistage sedimentation method.
